Job Title: Senior VB.Net Developer

Job description:
Responsibilities:
The qualified applicant will work as an individual contributor. The candidate will have strong experience working with:
· Integrating code seamlessly into existing design
· GUI display, using user controls and WinForms from a messaging layer using VB.NET, and layout of equipment and associated quickly changing data
· VB.Net andMS Access, in multi-threaded / multi-processor environment.
· Creating new architectural components from an existing paradigm
· Tools such as: VS2013, SVN, Beyond Compare3, Version 1, and Test Track Pro
· Designing, peer reviewing, implementing and unit testing software
· Understanding requirements from cross functional teams such as software, system, and process teams is required.
· A willingness to travel 5% is desired.
Qualifications:
· BS in CS required (MS desired)
· 15+ years of experience in design and development of software systems in industrial environment using source code control, defect tracking, and IDE
· 8+ years developing GUI applications for capital equipment
· 8+ years of experience in VB.Net in design & development of distributed multi-process, multithreaded software systems which communicate with upper level software components and indirectly with various hardware components
· Experience with Visual Studio, preferably 2013, unit testing, system and network analyzers
· Knowledge of UML, OOD, Agile/SCRUM, multithreading, multiprocessing, & SW/HW integration
· Understanding of network architectures and .NET 4.0
· Basic SQL query skills and understanding of database schemas
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Prior experience working in small cross functional and outsourced teams
· Ability to work with customers or stakeholders to drive requirements
· Proficiency in MS Office and Visio products
· SEMI Standards experience desired
