The function of this position is to play a key role in the design, specification, and development of Services and to assist with planning and coordination of the implementation of reusable Services across company applications.

 

The SOA software developer will be responsible for working with architectural artifacts and will have primary responsibility for producing service design artifacts including specifications, developing reusable services, and for coordinating with developers that will consume the services.

 

The SOA Services Consultant shall demonstrate the ability to analyze current and future state enterprise architecture artifacts and to produce a GEMS Service Portfolio, Service Specifications, and design artifacts in support of the GEMS implementation. The SOA software developer shall demonstrate an ability to develop conceptual and detailed design documentation in a manner that is consistent with best practices in the SOA industry.

 

The SOA software developer shall be able to implement code, deploy applications and services, communicate detailed design specifications to other developers that will consume the Services, respond to developers' questions and participate in the resolution of development issues in the development of reusable services.

 

The SOA software developer shall have the following qualifications and requirements as defined below:

 

* Experience with the Microsoft Technologies including .NET 4.0 or above, C#, WCF, ASP.NET MVC Frameworks including Web API, IIS 7.0 or later, SQL Server 2008 or later, Entity Framework 5.0 or later, Windows Server 2008 or later and knowledge on the working of BizTalk is required.

* Experience with Git, Teamcity

* Exposure to Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery environments

* Experience with Javascript, JQuery, Node.js, Angular.js and other open source web development technologies would be ideal but not necessary

* Experience with Enterprise Application Integration projects and technologies.

* Experience developing in a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Object Oriented development environments.

* Ability to develop comprehensive system documentation based upon analysis of business requirements and existing legacy applications.

* Experience modeling and designing concepts in UML.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

* Creative team player.

* Project management skills.

* Excellent documentation skills.

* Proficient with modeling tools such as MagicDraw and Visio

* Agile Development experience.

* Experience working as an Enterprise or Solution Architect.
