SAS Programmer / Developer - Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, SAS, Oracle, SQL Server, XML, XSLT Major Pharmaceutical Company - Zebulon, NC SAS software developer required to develop and support multiple data warehouse / aggregation and presentation solutions in a pharmaceutical environment. Scope includes warehouse design, construction, and maintenance; design and support of environments. Specific duties include the development and maintenance of customer facing web applications which utilize SAS and Microsoft SharePoint products. As enterprise applications, security (data security & connection security), and scalability techniques are used throughout the application. Additional duties include: data warehouse transformations; developing and managing ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) processes for warehouse build and maintenance; participating in requirements discussions with customers; participating in data quality assessments; data modeling; developing trends and reports; authoring internal validation documentation, and performing peer code review.
Qualifications Essential • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field • 5 or more years of programming experience in an application or consulting environment • Experience with SAS coding • Experience with SQL and at least one relational database management system Additional • Solid debugging skills • Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills • Good written and verbal communication skills • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical solutions and concepts to clients and team members • Ability to apply technology solutions to business concepts and user needs • Ability to work independently and with a team • SAS application experience • SAS data management experience • Experience with SQL (Oracle or SQL Server preferred) Nice to have: Experience of web presentation/design and web server processing technologies (HTML, XML, XSLT, IIS) SAS XML processing experience using technologies such as XML Mapper, XML libname engine SAS Macro, SAS/GRAPH, SAS/IntrNet
