We are looking for a test engineer who works independently, has some knowledge of Python and MySQL, is detail oriented, proactive and can work in multi-stakeholder teams. The position is immediate and details are given below.

 

Position : Test Engineer

Location : Sunnyvale, CA

Duration : 6+ Months

 

Key Qualifications

·         Ability to investigate and debug difficult problems

·         Creative thinker and strong problem solver

·         Ability to multi-task well and change focus quickly

·         Experience with Python or similar scripting language

·         Should be results oriented, possess a high degree of motivation and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

  

Description

•        Designing, documenting, and implementing test suites targeting specific database subsystems of an application using mySQL.

•        Writing test automation code in Python.

•        Writing automated test cases against a GUI.

•        Some manual testing of the application and related agent processes.

•        Developing tools, as necessary, to facilitate testing.

·         Creating problem reports when issues arise and tracking them through completion.

 

Education

•        BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience

 

Additional Requirements

•        Experience with MySQL / SQLite or SQL databases in general

•        Knowledge of Mac OS X operating system and applications preferred

•        Experience with unix preferred

•        Experience with image and video formats and editing is a plus

•        Testing experience a strong plus

•        Experience with C++ or objective C a plus
