We have an urgent requirement of Senior DB2 Developer with one of our direct client in NC.
Location: Raleigh, NC
Duration: 12 Months
Interview: Both Phone and In Person
Years of experience required 5 years DB2 Systems Programming
The person will perform DB2 z/OS System Programmer functions. This project is to upgrade 2 test and 1 production sub-system from V8 New Function Mode (NFM) to V10 Conversion Mode (CM). This person will work with another DB2 systems programmers and client support staff to:
• Upgrade CA Utilities to V15 for compatibility
• Apply current maintenance to QMF V9
• Apply upgrade for DB2 V8 NFM to V10 CM
Execute and remediate DB2 Health Check Report
Handle client issues from the maintenance activities
A schedule has been set for this project, after hours and weekend work for maintenance activities is required. Expecting a 40-60 hour work weeks for the project.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
• Extensive knowledge of mainframe DB2 computing in a DB2 MVS/zOS environment.
• Experience as a zOS DB2 systems programmer
• Demonstrated knowledge of the SMPe process.
• Thorough knowledge of TSO, JCL, and utility programs
• Strong analytical ability
• Required Experience: DB2, IBM Utilities, SMPE, DB2 System Maintenance and Installation
• Preferred Experience CA Utilities including File Master, Insight, Detector
