Job description:

 

MUST HAVE:

1.       Experience with Informatica 9 (Webster is using 9.6.1 HF2) as an administrator

2.       Must be an excellent communicator

3.       Must be senior individual who can teach/share knowledge about Informatica Power Center (the team will lean on this person to learn the tool).

4.       Must have worked with Informatica in a Windows environment with the ability to integrate with Active Directory and write Batch/DOS scripts to manage the environment.

5.       Prior experience in installing/configuring Informatica Power Center

6.       Experience with Metadata Manager is a plus

 

Informatica Admin Initial Responsibilities:

-          Install & Configure Informatica in the QA environment

-          Re-architect folder structure

-          Setup purging strategies for data files, logs, & backups (using DOS/Batch scripts)

-          Use PM Commands to integrate developed workflows into Enterprise Scheduler, Tidal

-          Ensure Environment Variables are used as much as possible

-         Work with security team to create Active Directory Roles & Groups that can be leveraged by Informatica

-          Provide guidance on how to accomplish large scale deployments (to support project efforts)

-          Create & manage connections for developer teams

-          Investigate and system atically address service failures

-          Apply Informatica software patches as necessary

-          Review Windows system & event logs
