MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES 

Experience:

§               5-7 Years of relevant IT Experience

§               At least 3-4 years of Network Operations experience

Basic Qualification:

§               Bachelor's Degree in Engineering

§               Diploma

Certifications:

§               CCNA / CCSA

§               SNPA

§               CCNP / CCSP

Availability:

§               Willingness to work in 24/7 – Shift based.

Network Operations - Service Deliverables

The service consists of monitoring, troubleshooting, problem resolution, and system administration services for voice and/or data networks. Networking devices components and parameters are monitored on a proactive basis. Telecom links are managed in addition to the devices through coordination with various telecom vendors.

  Roles & Responsibilities:

The purpose of this role is to provide technical support in order to ensure a high degree of Customer Satisfaction through SLA & Process Compliance. The emphasis would be on skills like

§               Firewalls

§               Proxy Server

§               Load Balancer

§               VPN

§               Operating Systems – Windows, Linux and Solaris

§               Layer 2 - 3 Switching & Routing

§               WAN Topologies and Equipment's

§               Firewalls, VPN, IDS & IPS

§               Authentication

§               Product awareness & Third Party Tools

§               VOIP

Technology Experience

§               Hands-on experience in implementation, troubleshooting & administration of Firewalls – Checkpoint / ASA / Netscreen

§               Hands-on experience in troubleshooting on proxy servers like Squid or Bluecoat

§               F5 LTM/GTM expertise is added advantage.

§               Troubleshooting skills or Good knowledge on Load Balancer (Big IP F5)

§               Good knowledge of Tunneling Protocols (IPSEC / GRE)

§               Strong in multiple OS - Win2K/ Solaris/Linux

§               Managing and Troubleshooting of Load Balancers.

§               Hands-on experience in implementation, troubleshooting & administration of Cisco 6500/5500/4000 series & below and Checkpoint/Nokia firewalls

§               Hands-on experience in implementation, troubleshooting & administration of Cisco Routers (OSPF, BGP, Route Distribution)

§               Strong in multiple OS - NT/Win2K/ Solaris/Linux

§               Capacity Planning & Performance Management related Engineering design capability

§               Telco Understanding & Problem resolution management

§               Understanding of any ticket driven process.

§               Performance Management & Optimization

Soft Skills

Excellent Written & Verbal Communication

Excellent Analytical & Virtual troubleshooting skills

Preferred Skills

§               MCSE

§               ITIL/Process Exposure
