Hadoop Administrator
Location: Austin, TX
Duration: 1+ years
Position Overview:
Our direct enterprise level client is looking for a Hadoop administrator to work on deployments and operations of Hadoop clusters across multiple data centers. You will also be involved in building and enhancing the tooling needed for the deployments and maintain the overall health of their data infrastructure. This is a highly collaborative role, you will be required to work with engineering and development teams to continually enhance the systems operability.
Skills Required:
- Must have 5+ years configuring and installing Linux based systems.
- 2+ years Hadoop administration experience.
- Must have in depth experience with the Hadoop ecosystem, Hive, Pig, Flume, Spark, Oozie etc.
- Experience with Apache Kafka.
- Cassandra and/ or Mongo DB experience is a plus.
- Any development experience with Java, Perl, Python or similar is highly desired.
- Chef and/ or Puppet experience is desired.
- Experience with deployments across multiple data centers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
Must Have Skills:
