Position: Embedded Engineer

Location: Lisle, IL

Duration: 6 months to 1 year

• Architect, Design, develop, test and debug system software.

• Design and Develop Flash Application for automotive ECU's and sub systems. The flash programs are received as Over-The-Air(OTA) firmware updates

• Define OTA  Requirements for Flash Application in consultation with ECU / subs system vendors and Navistar product managers 

• Develop automated test plans on consultation with ECU/sub system vendors to test the full chain of OTA updates

• Carry out functional testing of OTA updates on various ECU's and sub systems

• Ensure quality  of deliverables is met through good coding practices 

• Manage a large team and handling delivery responsibility.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Maintain awareness of advances in technology and competitive intellectual property.

• Present information and effectively communicate with divisions and cross-functional teams

MUST HAVE SKILLS

• 10+ years experience designing and developing automotive Embedded  systems  

• Experience in vehicle diagnostics, calibration, automotive data bus interfaces

• Defining and detailing requirements for OTA updates

• Strong programming and debugging experience  in Java and  C/C++

• Strong Automotive diagnostics protocols experience including CAN, Diagnostics CAN, J1939, J1708, KW2000, UDS, OBD-II, KWP

• Experience with machine-to-machine (M2M) cellular communications is mandatory

• Technical Documentation for Requirements, Design, Code and Test

• Version control software (e.g. CVS, SVN & TFS)

DESIRABLE SKILLS

• Experience in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB device stack and host side software implementation

• Passionate orientation and attention to customer satisfaction.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Qualification:

• Bachelors/Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
