Location: Columbia, MD

This position requires senior to principal level development experience in Netezza and associated toolset. The applicant will work with clients in support and migration of existing Data Warehouse platform and applications by interpreting client's needs into program requirements and detailed specifications under SDLC guidelines. The selected candidate will be responsible for evaluating programming alternatives and recommend solutions that best meet client's needs and conforms to existing established standards and processing environment. The position entails for the candidate to execute against respective aspects of a project plan with minimal assistance, including schedules, deliverables, and appropriate metrics. 

Responsibilities

·Responsible for Development in Netezza, Data Migration from various data sources, Adhoc Data loading.

·Develops Technical Designs, develops ETL/ELT Job Streams and follows application development methodology.

·Leads, participates and provides input during migration and or design review sessions and code review sessions with peers.

·Will be working in Application Development team and will be interacting with other RHI teams

 

Qualifications:

·2+ years of extensive, exclusive experience working in Netezza.

·At least 7-9 years full systems life cycle experience including requirements gathering, functional and technical design, requirements specifications, detail design, program specifications, coding and unit/system testing.

·Time Management and Multi-tasking and Analytical Ability.

·Deep knowledge of NZSQL,  Unix Shell Scripting and PL/SQL.

·Architecture and system design experience.

·ETL experience using IBM Datastage.

·Strong DW concepts and analytical skills.

·Extensive software development experience in Data Warehouse.

·Experience in Performance Tuning, Accessing Very Large Tables.

·Knowledge of best practices for efficient database access.

·Communications (Listening, Persuasiveness, Oral, Written)

·Leadership (Impact, Involvement, Change Management)
