The BUC IT developer will be a member of the team working on analysis and implementation of SBMH (Single Book Management Hierarchy). This role requires excellent communication skills as it involves
Interfacing with various business and IT teams. The ideal candidate should be able to understand the existing architecture, business and deliver solutions without compromising the functionality of existing
Systems.
Role/Team Summary:
BUC IT is responsible for managing all medium and large IT projects as well as production support for daily P&L reporting. The role of BUC IT SBMH developer is to deliver highly visible strategic solution and manage all aspects of the project lifecycle delivery from initiation through close-out. Developer must be capable of working with business and SME's located in remote offices. The candidate must be able to work with large data sets and efficiently manage data flows in various systems. Ability to implement and deliver high quality systems as part of a team in a high-pressure environment.
Essential Experience: (Must have skills)
· 5+ years of software development experience
· Strong analytical skills
· Sybase experience with Stored Procedures, Tables and Indexes
· Experience in the Financial Industry
· Good Perl coding skills
· Quick delivery in a fast paced environment
· Support and resolve production issues
Supplementary Experience: (Useful additional skills)
· OBI Publisher or Spotfire experience is a plus
· Java (or C# or ASP.net) is a plus
· Programming language application development experience is a plus
