Position =  Data Warehouse Developer
Location = Bala Cynwyd, PA ( Local Only)
Duration = 6 + months

 

Strong in Pentaho is required

 

The Big Picture – Top Skills You Should Possess:
Experience in tuning and optimizing data storage technologies – (MySQL or HBase)
Well versed in designing, building, and supporting  new data warehouse environments
Large scale data operations  expertise (managing data processes in excess of 1MM records minimum)
Hands on experience creating and supporting various ETL scripts, jobs, and technologies

 

What You Will Be Doing:
Design, build, and support a new data warehouse for clients  business
Create and support various ETL scripts, jobs, and technologies
Support APIs, tools, and 3rd party products to extract data from Cloud/SaaS applications
Tune and optimize data storage technologies - be it MySQL or HBase or other
Work within the Business Intelligence team and across the organization to deliver needed data
Interact with data analysts and power users to define metrics to build data models
Provide ongoing data quality monitoring & support, responding to queries from our user base

 

What You Need to Bring to the Table: 
Minimum of 3 years experience as a data warehouse developer and/or have strong database development skills
Demonstrated experience with SQL database design, implementation, and performance
Experience with Hadoop and HBase
Experience with Salesforce.com preferred
Large scale data operations (managing data processes in excess of 1MM records min)
Demonstrated experience with Open Source/Linux development and production environment
Scripting and typed language skills:  Python, Bash, Java, SQL
Experience with internal tools like Jasper, Pentaho, and SQL Server Reporting tools are a mandatory.
Possess creative ability, credibility, self-confidence and independence
Good team player with strong analytical, communication and troubleshooting skills
Able to work under pressure and multi-task
Experience with cloud based environments makes for sunny days
BSCS or similar technical degree preferred but strong coders/hackers with all the aptitude are welcome
