Job Title: Sr. Business Analyst
MA MMIS is seeking a Senior BA to work on our established Claims and/or Managed/Member Care team to support the development, testing and implementation of the MMIS system. The successful candidate should be well versed in health plan management, HIPAA transactions, operational concepts and the systems development lifecycle. The Senior BA will be responsible for the implementation of this business releases within the overall business functional structure of MassHealth. The successful candidate must have sufficient knowledge of the entire scope of the health care business to insure that the development and testing work within their functional area is compatible with the MMIS system as a whole. The successful candidate's primary responsibility is to ensure that the implemented coding scheme meets the requirements of the business community and conforms to all applicable Federal and state laws. The Claims BA will be called upon to act as an active member in all phases of the project including: gap analysis, requirements gathering, design and development activities, testing, implementation, and stabilization. Ideal candidates will have a background that includes expertise in health care claims and /or service authorization processing with special emphasis on knowledge of reference subsystem requirements.
Scope of Work:
· Participate in interface and conversion requirement development
· Develop test strategies, test scenarios and test cases based on written requirements
· Execute and review test runs
· Sign off on tested components
· Document interface requirements and participate in their development and testing
· Document conversion requirements, if necessary, and participate in their development and testing
· Be available to coordinate review cycles with business users in all phases of the project
· Assist in development of the implementation strategy for the claims related subject areas
· Support the development of end-user training materials and end-user documentation as required.
· Possible oversight role during the stabilization phase of each release including the monitoring of system change execution, the development of system "fix" strategies and the close
monitoring of the implementation of those strategies
· Assist in configuration of all reference tables.
