Title: AIX Systems Administrator

 

Location: CA

            Required: AIX (including LPARs, VIO and HACMP or PowerHA clustering)

 

·         Required: Red Hat Linux.

  Requirements:

 

·         5+ years experience on one or more of the following OS platforms (AIX, Redhat, SUSE)

 

·         Experience in a large environment responsible for planning, installation, configuration, operations, administration, and maintenance of the Unix platform

 

·         Working knowledge of Storage, multipathing software, and SAN hardware

 

·         Strong script writing skills in Shell (Korn, Bourne or C), Perl, or a java based language

 

·         Strong working knowledge on one or more of the following OS management tools ( NIM, Jumpstart, or Kickstart)

 

·         Strong IBM Power Systems a MUST

 

·         Strong virtualization skills on PowerVM

 

·         Strong HACMP skills

 

·         Strong troubleshooting skills

 

·         Strong networking skills

 

·         Strong operating system performance tuning skills

 

·         Working knowledge on LDAP configuration and management

 

·         Working knowledge on backup and recovery, experience with TSM a plus.

 

·         Working knowledge on provisioning systems and methodologies, experience with TPM a plus

 

·         Working knowledge on ITM is a plus

 

·         Good presentation skills

 

·         Strong organizational skills

 

·         Works well in a team or independently

 

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills

 

·         Self starter

 

·         Server hardware and OS advanced certification(s)

 

·         BS degree in Computer Science
