We are looking for a Storage Capacity Planning Consultant to support world's leader in providing IT consulting and software services to the finest global organizations client. This is a 6 months Contract based in Dallas, TX / Tampa, FL

Position: Storage Capacity Planning Consultant

Locations: Dallas, TX / Tampa, FL

Duration: 6 Months Contract

Years of experience: 5+ years

 

Job Description as follows:

 1 Onsite Storage Capacity Planning Consultant (Desired 5+ years experience in the following skillset) USA-Dallas/Tampa

·         Knowledge in EMC Symmetrix series, EMC Clariion, NetApp, McData/Brocade Directors and Switches

·         Experienced in EMC Control Center console

·         Experience in Local and Remote Replication such as BCVs, SRDF, Open Replicator

·         Monitoring & analyzing event, alert logs and appropriate actions taking

·         Creation of weekly status reports, Solving pending tickets

·         Should have worked Scripting knowledge\zoning

·         Meeting SLA in time to fix the errors and problems

·         Backup and restoration – VERITAS Netbackup, Data Domain

·         Configuration ,monitoring & analyzing event, alert logs and appropriate actions taking, strong trouble shooting skills in storage environment and solving problems in a very short time,

·         Pro-active measures and preventive measure for storage problems/errors.

·         Creation of weekly status reports, Solving pending tickets

·         Backup Policy Creation, restoration

·         Analyze failed backup and take appropriate actions

·         Management of Master Servers, Media Servers and Clients

·         Management of Virtual tapes in Data Domain VTL

·         Preparing scripting tools for automation

·         Documentation skills

·         License management

·         Vendor coordination

·         Incident management

·         Change management

·         Log monitoring/maintenance

·         Remote storage administration
