JOB TITLE:QA AUTOMATION ENGINEER
Location: Charlotte, NC
PROJECT: eComm Online Banking Testing project
ENVIRONMENT: Working with onshore, offshore and cross functional teams; a collaborative environment; will be leading a team of minimum 15 resources and will lead test projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The candidate will be responsible for driving Automation test strategy,Script development and execution for eComm OLB Automation team. Support Automation test management, test planning, test preparation, test execution, Defect tracking, communications, reporting and project closure for Online Banking applications.
TYPICAL DAY:
•Planning, leadership, and management of end-to-end Automated Test Development and Execution with a focus on test program progress to ensure that testing deliverables are on target and business, technical, functional requirements are met.
•Primary point of contact for the near-shore / off-shore Automation testing team. Ensure that testing environments, scripts, Applications and tools are available and ready for automation testers.
•Primary contact and escalation point during US business hours. Work with Functional team, release management and Project management teams at each appropriate phase.
•Facilitate flow of information across teams to help identify change impacts, communicating overall initiative schedule, and tracking status and completion of test deliverables for the team.
•Act as liaison between business, project manager, application team, and offshore test team. Monitor test initiative execution progress for negative impacts to timeline and deliverables. Work with Test Leads/Test Execution teams to Address risk areas - monitor action plan progress.
• Understand end-to-end application flow, associated systems, and contacts within ecommerce channel.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Expert knowledge in Quick Test Pro with 7+ year's experience with Automation development and execution.
• Thorough knowledge of other automation tools and its capability for industry standards
• 4+ years of experience interacting with business partners, technical teams, and testing teams.
• Experience communicating with a wide variety of cultures across several time zones.
• Exposure to project management, including experience with managing virtual project teams.
• Strong work ethic, flexibility to work weekend and evenings as needed.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate issues and status to management.
• A passion for learning and solving business and technology problems.
• 4+ years using MS suite, especially MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word
• Organized and thorough work style, looking for an individual who is able to successfully coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
