Title: Perl Developer

Location: Burlington, MA

Interview: Telephonic

Duration: 12-18 Months

Start Date: Immediately

 

Job Description:

·         Contribute to the design and development of our enterprise class messaging platform developing highly scalable and reliable distributed systems 

·         Designing and implementing high performance mission critical services 

·         5+ Years Perl experience 

·         5+ years experience with design of multi-process, asynchronous distributed systems 

·         3-5 years of experience working with Web Servers and (Apache) 

·         Experience developing / working with ActiveMQ or other queueing systems. 

·         Strong work experience Internet protocols and technologies (XML, SOAP, SAML, SSO, Axis, JAXB) 

·         Strong understanding of SQL (Oracle, SQL Server or MySQL). 

·         Experience with or knowledge of common development methodologies and tools (Agile, SVN, Jenkins, Unit Testing, Continuous Integration, Test Driven Development, TAP, Virtual Machines) 

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

·         Proven experience in writing concise functional and technical specifications 

·         Ability to provide technical leadership to a team to deliver quality, efficient, scalable services. 

Basic Qualifications:  

·         Strong appreciation for developing high performance fault tolerant system software 

·         Proficient in PERL, PHP and Java a plus. 

·         Experience with Linux and open source technologies considered favorably 

·         Basic understand of load balancing technologies 

·         Experience developing / working with Web Services APIs, REST/SOAP 

·         Basic understanding of Object Oriented Languages (such as: Java or C#). Helpful to know Perl's Inside-Out object model. 

Education Bachelors Degree or Equivalent
