REQUIREMENT DETAILS:
Build & Release Engineer with Maven Experience
Location: Boston, MA
Interview: Phone
Duration: 1 + year
Specific requirements include, in order of importance:
i. A minimum of 4 years in a release engineering or equivalent role supporting a Java EE or Spring- based architecture
ii. Knowledge of the Java programming language
iii. Strong knowledge and experience with of Continuous Integration and Deployment tools (e.g., Jenkins, Bamboo, etc.)
iv. Proven experience of managing multiple ongoing releases and environments
v. Strong knowledge and experience with source code control tools (e.g., GIT, Accurev (preferred), SVN)
vi. Strong knowledge and experience with Maven or Gradle and tools like Nexus or Artifactory
vii. Demonstrated experience stewarding good branching & merging principles
viii. Experience with Chef and deployment automation tools
ix. Proficient with Unix/Linux based systems and scripting languages such as Perl or Ruby
x. Ability to pick up new technologies in a rapidly changing environment, meticulous and detail oriented by nature, and keen eye towards identifying and eliminating risk
xi. Ability to troubleshoot failed builds and/or operational failures
xii. Strong understanding of software lifecycle and project methodologies, include agile/scrum
xiii. Excellent communication skills and ability to multi-task
xiv. Computer Science or related degree
