Position : Technical QA Analyst
Location : Phoenix, AZ
Duration : 6+ Months

JOB DESCRIPTION
  This is a Technical QA Analyst position. Simple front-end / UI testing with basic QTP and bug tracking type skills is insufficient
  Extensive automation script writing (Example: VBScript, .NET, Java, etc)
  Extensive database testing with use of T-SQL and automation tools
  Extensive UI testing using Selenium
  Develop, execute and implement test plans, test cases and test scripts for applications built upon an application platform
  Provides guidance and subject matter expertise to engineers on testing and Quality Assurance (QA) methodologies and processes
  Work with developer/engineers to drive improvements in code quality via manual and automated testing
  Write, publish and maintain automated front-end and back-end test plans, test cases and test scripts
  Publish and communicate test results and test plan status
  Work closely/collaboratively with cross-functional teams (Business Analysts, Developers)
  Participate in all aspects of functional, regression, user acceptance and load testing
  Review processes for compliance
  Design and maintain test data for projects
  Participate in software design discussions, reviews and test strategy sessions
  Integrate test specifications into design specifications
  Establish test metrics as required by the QA Standards
  Ensure builds into the various environments are acceptable
  Install, configure and use tools to automate functional testing
 
QUALIFICATIONS
  Five (5) years software testing experience with regression testing, integration testing, load and performance testing
  Three (3) years of hands-on automation script writing using some type of programming language (i.e. VBScript, .NET, Java, etc)
  Three (3) years of hands-on robust T-SQL experience used for RDBMS testing (SQL Server, MySQL, etc)
  Three (3) years of hands-on automated testing experience with Selenium
  Knowledge of QA procedures and ability to understand business requirements and translate them to QA requirements
  Experience in working with testing automation tools like JMeter, open source tools (Jenkins, Maven, Selenium, JUnit, Eclipse) and preparation of automation test framework
  Experience with Agile, other rapid application development methods, and Waterfall SDLC
  Expert knowledge with functional testing, unit testing, system integration testing, regression testing, UI testing, web service testing, and browser compatibility testing (Tool based, not manual)
  Experience in documenting detailed business requirements and system test scripts required.
  Experience with coding skills across a variety of platforms is a plus
 
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
  Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience)
  Any of the following test certifications: QAI, ASQ, IIST, ISEB, ISTQB are a plus
