EDW QA Engineer QA/test Engineer

Location: Quincy, MA

Duration: 6+ Months

The candidate must be a QA/test engineer who has good testing skills, technical debugging and troubleshooting skills, and the analytical and communication skills to work within a QA Team testing a data warehouse. The candidate must have experience converting ETL specs containing business data requirements as well as sQL queries to test cases and validating very large datasets.

It is expected that the candidate will have experience using test and defect management skills, Quality Center/ALM is preferred. Hands-on experience testing data warehouses is required and the candidate must take the responsibility for analyzing and understanding the database tables, data warehouse structure, and the data model.

The candidate must have proven ability to work successfully within an onshore-offshore model as an independent self-starter able to take on the responsibility for analyzing and understanding data requirements.

Required skills: 
Computer Science Degree or related discipline 
5 years of software quality assurance experience 
Software development background 
Demonstrated strong ETL and data warehouse testing experience 
Strong analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting skills 
Strong data analysis skills with proven experience analyzing source data and business rules 
Experience working with distributed team members 
Extremely detail-oriented with respect to test documentation and communication 
Strong database skills writing complex queries 
Demonstrated experience managing and validating large volumes of data
