REQUIREMENT !

Role: Mainframe Programmer

Location: Grand Rapids, MI

Duration: 6+ Months

Interview: Phone Hire

 

Main skills we are targeting would be CICS Development and would be preferred if someone had some ETL tool.

 

Job Description

We need strong programmer/analysts that can do design work (visio) and develop in CICS, Cobol and Datastage.  Resources will track from analysis and design to development.  Will be responsible to review data, document what exists today and contrast to new files from Alliance (new Credit Card Vendor/Processor).  Work with data modelers to add new elements and write ETL jobs for same. Will create high level and low level design documents and checkpoint with SMEs at completion of each.  Once analysis and design is complete, will move that piece of the solution to the development team. Then will be responsible for modifying the existing system - must be able to review existing code, map between current state and future state and complete the modification.

Required Skills and Abilities

Technical Skills

·        CICS Development – Highly Skilled

·        Datastage Development – Or similar ETL tools or manual ETL

·        Cobol

·        Analysis

·        Technical Design

·        Communication – must be able to work with Subject Matter Experts to confirm design

·        Documentation – must be able to create clear technical documentation (HL and LL) for development purposes
