This engineer would work closely with the security validation team, would take detailed instructions from the team, and would assist in the implementation of test code aimed at testing security features or at exploiting vulnerabilities in software. The position would focus primarily on web services testing, although some client-oriented work might be a possibility. In addition, this engineer would also be tasked with implementing tools required to maintain secure operations of OnCue web services (command-line and web-based). Most of the work is to be done using Scala programming languages.
The job requires strong Java background. While the job does not require prior security or Scala experience, we need a candidate open to learn Scala, and we prefer candidates who are open to learn about security on the job.
Requirements:
+ Strong Java development skills, willing to learn Scala quickly.
+ Familiarity with Linux or UNIX systems in a development environment.
+ Familiarity with REST web APIs, JSON.
+ Knowledge of Python a plus.
+ Previous experience in automation or developing test code a plus.
+ Team orientation, good communication skills.
