The contract senior Dynamics AX Consultant, under the direction of the Business Admin Unit Manager, is responsible for configuring a Dynamic AX prototype system to support  functional requirements.  It is expected that the consultant will identify gaps between the Dynamics AX out-of- box solutions and  requirements, and present AX alternatives to assist in the business reengineering.  The consultant will also help IT staff grow their knowledge of AX.  

 

Job Responsibilities/Essential Functions

 

·         Understand client  ERP business requirements

·         Identify and install appropriate Dynamics AX modules

·         Configure AX modules to support functional requirements.  It is expected that many gaps will be identified.

·         Present the out-of-box system

·         Configure and present AX alternatives for as many gaps as possible which could be the basis for business reengineering

·         Support the business reengineering process

·         Provide Dynamic AX related consultation and training to IT staff and possibly core business users

 

 

 

Qualifications:  MUST HAVE

 

·         2+ years of Dynamics AX implementation experience (Dynamics AX 2012 experience required)

·         Knowledge of core Dynamics AX environment and  specifically Trade, Sales Orders, Inventory Management and Warehousing, Product Information Management modules.

·         Certification in Dynamics AX Trade and Logistics

·         Working knowledge of industry specific best practices

·         Familiar with Microsoft Dynamics Sure Step

 

-          Product information management

-          Sales and Marketing

-          Retail

 

 

Desirable Skills:

 

• Dynamics AX 2012 Retail experience
• Dynamics AX customization experience
• Microsoft Dynamics AX Certification in at least one other module
• Excellent oral and written communications skills
• Familiar with Dynamics AX Ecommerce solution (CRT)
