Job Description

I have also included a description of the position we discussed. The role is a Java UI web developer. The focus is all front end.

Our client is searching for a Web User Interface Developer to join their team . This individual will be primarily working with the latest AJAX technologies, (primarily the EXTJS framework), to develop Rich Internet software applications such as building panels, grids, forms, etc. Working together with a talented technology team, the role offers the individual an excellent opportunity to grow skills and gain experience in the development of enterprise level software.

 

Job Responsibilities

•                    Perform a full spectrum of Web development related tasks including design, application development and optimization, and unit testing.

•                    Use HTML, XML, CSS, and JavaScript to develop software applications.

•                    Makes changes, fixes, or enhancements to existing web applications.

•                    Perform web UI based performance tuning and optimization.

•                    Ability to Perform server-side programming (primarily Java/JSP/DB2) a plus

•                    The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

Job Skills

•                    2+ years Experience with ExtJS or Sencha Touch UI frameworks or equivalent

•                    JavaScript UI framework  (Dojo, Angular, Backbone, Knockout)

•                    (other popular JavaScript Frameworks listed in these links

•                    4+ years developing web based user interfaces

•                    Experience in utilizing IDE tools such as Eclipse

•                    Knowledge/Experience of using  Subversion/GIT is a +

Other Qualifications

•                    Bachelor's Degree (BS/BA) from a four-year college or university.

•                    Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and manage changing priorities.

•                    Excellent analytical and reasoning skills are necessary.

•                    Good team player with excellent analytical and reasoning skill, dynamic thinker and a positive attitude.
