Job Description :

 

Role : Cloud Engineer 

Location : South Brunswick, NJ

Duration : 6 to 18 + Months

GC and Citizen

Required Skills: • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering Technology, or technical degree and/or certifications • Experience with operational processes related to public cloud and virtualization technologies such as VMWare and KVM. • Understanding of monitoring processes and application deployment process with open source tools such as kickstart, chef, puppet are a plus. • Experience with processes related to deploying and operating Linux/Red Hat variants in a cloud environment • Experience with processes related to deploying deploying and operating Windows in a cloud environment • Critical attention to detail, thoroughness and documentation • Excellent written and oral communication skills, particularly in documenting and teaching operational cloud processes • Ability to work with minimal supervision, making decisions based upon priorities, schedules and an understanding of business initiatives. • Ability to work as part of a team in building, administering, and deploying automated systems and application deployments especially in an enterprise environment Desired Skills: • Understanding of a broad range of cloud technologies in an automated deployment environment including S3, EC2, EBS, VPC, and CloudHealthExperience with operational cloud processes related to public cloud providers (AWS, Google & Azure) • Experience implementing and supporting enterprise system monitoring tools Experience in a DevOps environment Additional Details from Management: This is a VERY important role for the team. Successful candidate will be leading a small group (one other person). He/She will be analyzing existing processes, reviewing gaps and making recommendations for improvement. Must have solid experience with Development operations, Process re-engineering. Initial duration is 6 months, however can extend based on business need. Must Have: • BS Degree min • 10+ years of relevant experience in the Tech process or Cloud space • Experience in a leadership role • Experience implementing procedures • ITIL is a nice to have • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills Would consider candidates from various industries; media, pharmaceutical, financial services are all okay.

Cloud Operations Process Engineer, Cloud Computing

Responsibilities:
• Lead the operational analysis, development and implementation of best-in-class policy,    processes & procedures.
• Develop cloud operational improvement delivery plans, manage and lead the cloud operational improvement team and own the issue/risk resolutions associated with the efforts.
• Review existing cloud operations, determine gaps and make best practice recommendations
• Drive process innovation and efficiency in cloud infrastructure operations via automation and industry best practices.
• Work effectively with cross-functional teams to identify cloud operational improvement opportunities.
