Job Title: Teamcenter System Administrator (Export Control – US)
Location: Houston , TX
Contract: Long Term
Requirement:
· Build, Deploy & Administer
· Install and configure Teamcenter (all layers, all modules, and interfaces & integrations, for upgrades (major or minor release) or completely new sites, for all environments: development, QA & Production.
· Manage source code & system configuration, and provide code quality checks against coding standards and architecture standards. Perform regular code reviews & advise developers, as needed.
· Manage (OPENGE\SVN) to maintain all custom codes delivered by various project development teams.
· Integrate codes and configuration packages from multiple project team in to deployable package; compile & relink code to GE standard server platform, where needed.
· Provide guidance to project teams and set rules to maintain full controllership of the custom codes. (Included in the scope, but limited, are BMIDE templates, ACL, Workflows, Organizations, Preferences, & any other Teamcenter configuration elements)
· Package & deploy GE custom codes and assist various GE project teams during their solution validation (unit, system, and user acceptance testing)
· Perform BMIDE changes in different environments, on needed.
· Create OPENGE tags & branches for different environments on a daily basis submitted by the developers.
· Maintain the controllership of the master codes, templates, etc. for all environments.
· Communicate to the System administration & deployment team with all details for them to compile and deploy the code libraries in the respective environment.
· Perform tests for environment integrity and performance.
· Continuously improve and optimize system architectural elements, such as FMS\FSC, Enterprise servers & pool managers, web servers, distribution, clients, translations servers, etc. for enhanced performance and scalability.
· Act as Level 3 Teamcenter Expert to resolve key systemic production issues sent from application support team (Level 2 & 1). Off-business hours involvement is often required for urgent production systemic issue, and deploying system changes.
· Monitor system regularly; ensure that the Teamcenter services & automated scripts scheduled on the server machines are properly running,
· Create and develop scripts or 3rd party solutions to enable effective system health monitoring.
· Ensuring that the QTP script in place for tracking Teamcenter PROD instance availability shows good metrics on availability.
· Perform Teamcenter system administrator activities, such as removing process & data locks,
· Be a part of GE-IM team, and co-ordinate directly with different IM support teams (e.g. DBA team, JBoss team) to ensure that all the environments are running.
· Track Changes Requests submitted by various project teams; assist GE –IM teams in reviewing Change Request, and advise about the short & long term impacts of Change Requests; test & demonstrate potential impacts, when requested.
· Deploy code to server and clients (4-tier, thin client, AWC, etc.,)
