Design Release Engineer

Location: Auburn Hills

Duration: Long term

 

 

Summary: This individual is responsible for a feature or a number of features associated with a connected vehicle program, and will guide a combination of FCA and supplier organizations through a development, qualification, and deployment process.·        Review and approve Feature Definition gate documents ·      Develop & obtain Requirements gate documents approval working w\ the various internal/external suppliers/groups to get their specifications complete. ·      Develops and/or obtains approval of the Development gate documents. ·      Owns the development schedule with the supplier (Panasonic, SiriusXM, FCA ICT) ·      Owns the Defect management process for their features including all the various defect management systems. ·      Responsible for Unit testing of Applications/Feature and a qualification readiness status prior to every qualification event. ·      Responsible for Unit testing of applications as they are released to us from the supplier. ·      Participates in feature release meetings and represents feature ·      Participates in feature defect management meetings and War rooms. ·      Owns all Change Requests and failure fixes that result in design changes. ·      Owns the investigation of operational issues post launch and continuous improvements ·      Creates and delivers Management Status Reports throughout product development and operations lifecycle ·      Travel as required
