SUMMARY of the FUNCTION/Role
The Transportation Applications division is seeking one temporary consultant to perform System Test and management functions on the Beacon Train Arrival System. The Consultant will develop and maintain documentation and assist in managing and testing the Beacon System.
Qualifications EXPERIENCE & eDUCATION :
· Bachelor's degree in a technical area (Engineering, Computer Science, etc)
· Minimum of 5 years of system test experience
· Excellent oral, written, presentation, and communication skills
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office 2013 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
· Proficiency with Microsoft Project version 2010 or higher
· Familiarity with Microsoft Visio for flow charts/process flows version 2010 or higher
· Excellent inter-personal skills including the ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization
· Strong analytical and problem solving skills
· Ability to effectively prioritize and execute in a high-pressure environment
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Develop System Test Plan for the Beacon Train Tracking System.
· Develop and maintain test schedule and identify/mitigate schedule risks
· Coordinate efforts with internal departments
· Generate Test Reports and present metrics for senior management
· Coordinate and facilitate Test review and defect meetings
DELIVERABLES
Documents detailing:
· Develop test plans and schedules
· Develop test cases/scenarios
· Defect tracking and correction
· Develop quality metrics/statistics
· Test Status Report
