Position: Java Technical Lead (PM)
Location: Fort Worth, TX
Duration: 6 Months Contract
Rate: $55/hr on C2C (MAX)
Job Description
Our client has a 6-month contract opening in Fort Worth for a Technical Lead/Project Manager to own technical and architectural aspects of our agile JEE development projects. Will organize, spearhead and own the technical side of the project. Will make time to coach and mentor your development team in all aspects of the Agile development cycle, and work alongside a community of other tech leads and architects to constantly add value to customers and stakeholders. Will own, manage and report on technical activities across all of the teams (including other internal or external groups, both on and off-shore) in support of your project's success. Will act as an individual contributor on an Agile team as well as teach and lead by example. Will bring technical excellence to the organization and to mentor teams. Should be an advocate of the agile process and test-driven development, and should be considered "evangelist" of technical excellence and quality. Will possess an instinct for simple, elegant code design, as well as confidence and the technical knowledge to refactor code that doesn't seem right in order to make the codebase a better place to live and work, and teach these skills to others.
Required Qualifications:
• 5-7 years of experience required in Java / JEE development.
• Experience leading others.
• Technical mastery of Java / OO for large website development.
• Ability to make sound technical and architectural decisions for the betterment of the product and codebase.
• Strong Spring experience.
• Spring MVC, Spring Integration experience.
• Java/JSP, XML, XSD, AJAX, JSON, jQuery, CSS, SOA, Web Services, WSDL, and tcServer experience.
• Proven Test-Driven Development experience.
• Strong knowledge of OO design techniques and principles needed in order to create and maintain a quality-first codebase, and the experience to back it up.
• Good Communicator - Ability to communicate with non-technical teams (product owners, business leaders) about technical decisions being made in support of business value.
• Strong ability and desire to work in a close-nit, collaborative team environment where candor is the norm.
• Exemplifies Leadership Skills, fills multiple roles when needed.
• Ability to work closely with product owners to deliver high business value incrementally with quality results in mind.
• A passion for technology, continuous improvement, and quality!
• Must represent the company's technical leadership in an exceptional manner and lead by example.
