Position: VBA/SQL developer
Location: Newport Beach CA
Duration: 1 year

Energetic VBA and SQL developer with some ABS/Mortgage Trading knowledge and some C# knowledge
This person will work directly with trading desk personnel to crack mortgage tapes, support and run existing tools, develop and automate processes to enhance workflow efficiency
Position Description:
• Work with mortgage desk traders/analysts to set up mortgage tapes for pricing
• Manage ETL processes & scripts to load data into databases
• Understand trade workflows, automate processes and improve efficiencies
• Learn and perform routine analysis/workflows (data mapping, regular data update to database, data analysis and reporting)
• Handle ad hoc requests to generate data files or report for time-sensitive trade pricing
• Maintain and enhance existing scripts/processes that have been automated
• Integrate data analysis tools with whole loan pricing modules in C# and/or Python
Position requirements:
• Some experience with ABS/mortgage trading (Intex, mortgage loan tape cracking, DTI calculator, fixed loan, etc)
Bachelor degree in engineering, computer science or MIS
• Strong VBA skills including custom ribbon controls (4+ years)
• Strong C# and/or Python skills (4+ Years)
• Strong MS SQL or Sybase SQL skills (4+ Years)
• Experience with VB Script
• Full cycle development from analysis, development, testing and deployment
• Excellent communication skills required
• Ability to work independently as well as a great team player
• Proactive and self-motivated with a positive attitude
• Must be comfortable working 50 hours a week
