Position - Automated QA Tester(3 positions)
Contract Duration : 8 months plus extension
Location : Beavorton, OR
Pay Rate : $35/hr
*****MUST Be Local to Oregon
The engineering team is seeking a self-motivated engineer who is passionate about quality and innovation in automation, white-box and exploratory testing. The role will require:
• Working closely with local development/QA team(s) in a high bandwidth environment.
• Working well with remote teams using your excellent written, verbal and organizational skills.
• Planning, authoring, debugging, executing and reporting tests.
• Prompt identification and escalation of defects; working with cross site and cross functional product teams to isolate problem; and tracking the issues to complete resolution.
• Evaluation and selection of testing tools.
• Test tool development as necessary.
• Automation framework development or modification as necessary.
Required Experience/Skills & Education:
• Expertise in one of the following languages: C++, C#, VB, Java, Python, Perl. (Java/C++ preferred)
• Strong understanding of Microsoft operating systems and applications.
• Strong root cause analysis experience.
• Schedule estimation (of tasks), and on-time delivery against those schedules.
• Strong understanding of QA processes and concepts including test case preparation, and testing methodologies.
• Ability to quickly learn, and become proficient with complex applications, understanding their interactions with other installed products, and how they operate within an overall system.
• Network configuration and management, including a strong knowledge of networking infrastructure and technologies.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Candidate must be self-motivated with a strong desire to continually grow technical expertise.
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
Major pluses:
1. Experience in an agile engineering environment.
2. Experience coordinating with remote teams.
3. Demonstrated expertise in a commercial or custom automation framework (E.g. Rational, QTP, Silk or other).
4. Prior QA or development work experience.
5. Computer Science degree
