Job Title: Sr. SQL DBA

Location: Solon, OH

Duration: 6 Months +

Interview: Face to face interview Required after telephonic interview

Rate: 50/hr CTC

 

Mandatory Technical / Functional Skills:

·         6 + years IT operation with strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices

·         5+ years Microsoft SQL Server experience.

·         Build, upgrade and migrate SQL server from its lower version to latest version is an essential

·         Understanding of, and experience with, server-client computing and relational database environments

·         Experience with data management and data processing flowcharting techniques

·         Knowledge of reporting and query tools and practices

·         Good understanding of the organizations goals and objectives

·         Good interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

·         Technical documentation skills

·         Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language

·         Self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail

·         Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

·         This position required experience with installing and maintaining sql server 2012 , 2008 and 2005 databases in standalone and cluster environments (experience with sql 2012 a must).

·         Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database problems.

·         Experience in Performance Tuning and Optimization, using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.

·         Experience with HA and DR methodologies (clustering and Mirroring, Replication and Log shipping)

·         Experience with backups, restores and recovery models.

·         Experience with Database upgrades and migrations.

·         Good communication and documentation skills.

 

Mandatory Technical / Functional Skills:

·         6 + years IT operation with strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices

·         SQL Server 2005, 2008 is must and SQL 2012 knowledge will be preferred.

·         Database Administration

·         Database Tuning

·         Database Management

·         Database Security

·         RDBMS

·         Apply hotfix patches

·         Migration of oldSQL DB to New version of SQL
