She wants someone who will come in a be a part of the team and contribute beyond just completing the tasks.
Description

Client Tax & Accounting is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Checkpoint User Administration System (CUAS) web technology team. CUAS supports multiple, critical Tax & Accounting applications. Now is the time to join this team as we are currently building a team who can rebuild CUAS from scratch using newer technologies with industry and Client standards
Key responsibilities:

  • Assist in all necessary phases of a project implementation, including functional requirements, technical design, development, unit testing and user acceptance testing as we build the CUAS application on a new technology stack.

  • Web application development in Java based development environment

  • Develop server based software with Web Services and other XML based technologies

  • Develop web application components using AngularJS, HTML and Javascript

  • Work in an agile, collaborative culture

  • Develop software that operates within a highly scalable, distributed multi-tiered system

  • Collaborate with architects and software engineers on designs

  • Mentor more junior technical team members

  • Participate with business team members using agile techniques and practices to identify requirements, acceptance criteria and designs

  • Effectively balance and prioritize multiple projects at once

  • Promote development best practices and leverage TR and industry standard technology

  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field

  • 7+ years of related experience in Java development

  • Experience with Java and object-oriented analysis and design principles

  • Experience with design and development of web based applications using AJAX, JQuery, Javascript, servlets, XML, XSL, and Oracle.

  • Experience designing& developing software for a critical enterprise n-tier web product.

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a dynamic environment with aggressive deadlines and multiple priorities

  • Experience with AngularJS or similar Javascript framework APIs

  • Experience with Spring and Grails

  • Very strong interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written

  • Ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audience

  • Experience working in a fast paced agile environment

  • Proven collaborative problem solving skills.

  • Self-motivated and proactive
