Position: Mid-Level Java Engineer
Location: Rancho Cordova, CA
Duration: 6+ Months
Education required - Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience
Education preferred – Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Computer Science or similar field
Experience - Four years of related experience and/or training in Analysis, Design and Development of Complex applications; 8+ years of overall IT experience with a minimum of 5 years of systems development lifecycle experience; Demonstrated experience using structured methodologies in software development practices -- e.g., design, coding standards, change/version control, release management, quality assurance (unit/string testing); Working knowledge and active participation in all phases of the software development lifecycle; Java: 4+ years, Spring: 2+ years, SQL:4+years
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Performs functional analysis and design for small to moderate projects
· Performs technical analysis
· Develops code for modules of small to large scope
· Provides application support/troubleshoot a variety of problems
· Performs/supports user acceptance testing and unit testing
· Participates in or leads group discussions with peers or external groups
· Works with external vendors, when necessary
· Performs data modeling / database design work
· Writes concise and clear technical documents
· Performs other duties as may be assigned by management
