Apex experience is a *must*.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Application Developer to join our highly energetic Business Innovation and Technology Services team. This position will work directly with senior members of the team to help define, implement and support the IT vision of the organization. The individual selected for this position must be well-versed in many of the technologies outlined below and demonstrate the ability to work across all departments to turn opportunities into solutions that enable short and long term growth of the organization.
In addition to the above, the individual will provide guidance and support to others, as well as work collaboratively with others to develop and maintain technical solutions. The candidate must have solid verbal, written, organizational and presentation skills, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced/multi-tasked environment with minimal direction.
Additionally, the individual must demonstrate the ability to think outside the box and help drive and support the vision of IT.
Position Requirements:
4-7 years demonstrated experience in the following:
Development and support of applications in an Oracle environment. Familiarity with Oracle 12c and APEX.
Demonstrated experience designing and developing applications using Oracle APEX (Application Express) v3.2, v4.x.
Well versed in supporting and administering medium-to-large scale complex database systems running in a UNIX/Linux (CentOS v5.0 – v7.0) operating environment.
Deep knowledge of Data Integration, Data Modeling and Optimization
Effective communications skills are essential to successfully negotiate or influence customer and senior management interactions.
Demonstrated experience designing, configuring and tuning database applications and schemas.
Well versed in the use of PL/SQL, triggers, and stored procedures.
Proven experience managing and adhering to database capacity management processes and procedures
Able to participate in executive presentations to senior management and customers, outlining recommendations of identified solutions.
Provides technical direction to Application Development staff and contractors to develop solutions within the Oracle environment.
Highly knowledgeable in software development methodologies and concepts (traditional and Rapid Application
Development (RAD), and Agile.
Demonstrated experience developing and implementing strategic and tactical technical solutions
In-depth expertise on Oracle tools like SQL Developer, Toad, SQL Loader, OBIEE, BI Publisher and Oracle Apex.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability.
Experience with third-party software integration and support.
Responsibilities:
Helps define application and database architectures, and in some instances the business systems architecture for major areas of development.
Ensures program management and associates have a full understanding of the customer problem and the direction for the integrated solution.
Strong understanding of industry and different business offerings.
Work directly with other members of the team to ensure software technologies are up-to-date and support the day-to-day operations of the organization.
High quality technical writing and presentation skills are mandatory.
Demonstrated experience providing coaching and leadership to less-senior staff, with an ability to bring groups to consensus.
Must have strong communication skills, be well organized, and be adaptable to changing priorities.
Demonstrated problem-solving and negotiation/influence skills.
Additional Requirements:

Strong inter-personal and communication skills, analytical and problem research / solving skills
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience
