Hadoop Admin with AWS

Location: North Chicago, IL

Rate: $55/hr  on c2c

Duration: 1 year

 

Databases being migrated(all structured data):

Oracle

Teradata

Mainframe/Legacy systems

 

 

Hadoop Admin

3 -5 years' experience in implementing  big data, or real-time streaming data intensive applications solutions

Able to document, explain, and present complex architectures for the client technical teams

NoSQL solutions such as HBase, Cassandra, MongoDB

Cloud related big data data services such as  AWS

Experience with a wide variety of common BI tools and emerging big data analytic tools such as QlikView, QlikSense, Cognos, Tableau etc.

Experience with data science enabling technologies such as R, Mahout

Experience using and developing solutions utilizing the Hadoop ecosystem such Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Pig, Sqoop, Oozie, Ambari,   Zookeeper

Experience with Enterprise Data Warehouse Platforms such as Teradata, Oracle etc.

Experience with scripting tools such as bash shell scripts, Python and/or Per

Experience with a variety of supporting technologies in a big data ecosystem such as: Linux, LDAP/Kerberos

Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica

 

Responsible for maintenance and installation and provide structure to the overall connection between the Hadoop architecture and company's existing infrastructure

Work with backup storage (How do perform backups if it fails? How do we rebuild? How do we take care of or avoid corruption within the clusters? How do we keep things up and running with promotions or new releases of technology?)

Ability to decipher and plan out the appropriate number of nodes/clusters for the environment

Ability to explain how large the cluster sizes/memory is vs where it needs to be to operate efficiently.
