Job Title: Technical Architect – Java/J2EE Open Source & Mobility

Location: Westlake TX

Duration:12 months

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

 

·         5-10 years of hands-on Java/J2ee/Open Source development & Mobility

·         Ability to provide solution for Enterprise Grade applications

·         Ability to define non-functional requirements and to translate functional + non-functional requirements to POCs

·         Hands-on experience across the range of technologies (Java, Mobility, Android, Hybrid Platform, Web and related technologies, Web Services, popular Java libraries, Unix / Linux and variants, Scripting languages, Databases, Open source tools and technologies)

·         Expertise (5+ years) on some of the following: Core Java, Enterprise Java with web, Web technologies, popular java libraries, XML and related technologies, App servers, relational databases

·         Experience on one or more of the following: Aspects of SOA, Big data concepts and implementation, Cloud concepts and implementation, Mobile applications

·         Ability to articulate the understanding of requirements and the reason behind a suggested solution approach

·         Open to new technologies and standards and technology neutral in suggesting architecture

 

Functional/Technical Skills:

 

·         Hands on Experience with JAVA and Open Source Technologies (Core Java/J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, JPA, SOAP, REST, XSD, XML, JMS)

·         Should have awareness on integration technologies and frameworks including SOA, Messaging, Apache CXF

·         Should have exposure to Messaging models, JMS Bridges, Highly available JMS, XA transactions, Active MQ

·         Should have exposure to OSGi Environment preferably FUSE, ServiceMix

·         Should have exposure to tools such as SQLDeveloper, SOAPUI

·         Should have experience in creating ER diagrams, class diagrams, design documents

·         Should have good understanding of UML

·         Should have exposure to build and deployment tools preferably Maven

·         Should have exposure to continuous integration tools preferably Jenkins

·         Should have exposure to code review, unit testing tools and frameworks

·         Should be keen on learning new technologies and frameworks

·         Should have good exposure to telecom domain

·         Should have good exposure to Application and Enterprise Design Patterns

·         Understanding of infrastructure and platform design is plus

·         Should have good communication skills and should be able to articulate and communicate design decisions effectively to stakeholders
