Required Skills:
3 – 5 years related experience in the design, development, and documentation of conceptual and logical data models and data dictionary for application databases and meta-data repositories. This position participates in requirements-gathering sessions of business requests for data usage. Conduct impact assessments and maintains documentation of all components of data architecture. This position provides technical leadership in database architecture. PowerDesigner experience is a plus.
Designs, develops, and documents conceptual and logical data models and data dictionary for application databases and meta-data repositories.
Designs physical database model with assistance from Database Administrators.
Utilizes database modeling tools and SQL (Structured Query Language) expertise to produce DDL scripts for the creation and modification of physical database objects.
Power Designer experience is a plus
Demonstrates understanding of relational concepts, relational database technologies, and SQL.
Assists with SQL tuning to improve query performance.
Participates in requirements-gathering sessions of business requests for data usage.
Conducts impact assessments to determine application integration potential and compatibility with architecture.
Maintains documentation of all components of data architecture, including conceptual, logical, and physical models.
Assists with the design of data integration interfaces with other systems.
Researches and evaluates existing data for potential to meet additional or changing requirements.
Provides technical leadership in database architecture.
Maintains established service level agreements to meet customer expectations and quality standards.
