DataStage Developer
Phoenix, AZ

Particular responsibilities include:
- Delivery large-scale ETL solutions using DataStage and multiple database technologies (SQL Server, DB2, Oracle).
- Play a lead role in analyzing business requirements and designing end-to-end ETL solutions that best meet business needs.
- If he/she is an onshore lead, oversee day-to-day ETL development work of onsite and offshore resources, including design and code reviews, guiding progress toward successful implementation and delivery.
- Collaborate with analysts, data modelers and architects during data modeling, data mapping and system specification activities.
- Oversee unit testing, system and integration testing, and performance testing to validate the solution.
- Collaborate with QA teams to develop and execute test strategies and plans.
- Partner with architects to further define and develop the data architecture for Cigna's Group Insurance business.
- Partner with business teams to look for opportunities to enhance current reporting capabilities. -
ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED
- 8+ years of software development experience with 3+ years as ETL development lead.
- Solid experience using IBM InfoSphere DataStage with multiple database systems (SQL Server, DB2, Oracle).
- Experience using other ETL tools, in particular Microsoft SSIS and Informatica – preferred but not required.
- Solid experience developing complex SQL statements.
- Strong knowledge of ETL and Data Warehouse development best practices.
- Experience integrating with external system
