Teradata Administrator with Oracle DBA skills

7+yrs experience in Teradata Administrator with Oracle DBA skills

Technical/Functional Skills

:

Some of the critical skills required of the DBA team:

 

  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • 24x7 on-call rotation responsibility
  • Assists users with queries - acts as a consultant to users 
  • Works with Teradata Vendor to work on system issues.
  • Good Oracle DBA skills
  • Responsible for overall capacity planning 
  • Responsible for implementation coordination of database releases
  • Performs SQL Code Reviews 
  • Support and coordination during hardware upgrades 
  • Overseas overall architecture of databases, ownerships, rights, etc.
  • User management
  • Kornshell scripting experience.  Experience with PERL scripting is a plus.

 

Experience Required

:

7+yrs experience

Roles & Responsibilities

:

Will play vital role in taking the transition, and provide primary support of the DB.

Responsible to interact with offshore team bring them to speed.

Creation of documentation like, DB support manual, run book etc.

 

Generic Managerial Skills

:

Should have good documentation skills.
