Role                        : Mobile Web Engineer

Duration                : Full time                             

Location                : Campbell, CA

 

Description:

Our Client is looking for mobile engineers with experience in object oriented JavaScript, CSS, semantic HTML, and server-side scripting. Experience with other platforms is also highly desirable. Our mobile engineers have versatility and often apply their talent to multiple supported platforms. We have only begun to tap the potential of mobile web apps across multiple browsers. Your job will be self-initiated, dynamic and challenging.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Contribute to product and technology roadmaps – including feature and feature prioritization and platforms - for consumer, realtor, and broker-facing mobile applications.
• Identify new mobile technologies and opportunities, and how they might relate to or enhance our products and business.
• Participate in and initiate major feature development in mobile products and technologies.

Required background and skills:

1. Strong object-orientation skills applied across at least two languages (PHP, C++ preferred).
2. Deep appreciation and understanding of how HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP work together
3. Strong understanding of semantic markup and responsive design with CSS.
4. Strong understanding of prototype-based inheritance and object-orientation in JavaScript.
5. Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal.

Highly Desirable:

• Great interest and focus on the user experience.
• Strong background in server-side scripting; server-side scripting using PHP would be a plus.
• Platform development theory as well as experience with developing and shipping mobile web applications
• Agile development experience.
• Development experience in Android or iOS.
