Duties & Responsibilites :	This position will provide ongoing database administration support for all DEP Oracle databases running on all DEP computing environments.  Work outside normal business hours (evenings, weekends and holidays) may be required.  Position will be responsible for: - installing, patching, upgrading, creating, tuning and maintaining DEP's Oracle databases and data.  - database management, monitoring and support software and database tools in all DEP computing environments.  - developing, testing, implementing, maintaining and documenting startup, shutdown, backup and restoration procedures, scripts and jobs for DEP databases.  - Position must provide routine status reports (weekly at a minimum) and other communications to BIT management in both written and verbal form.  - Position must also be able to take a lead role in technical meetings with other IT staff.  Prior experience upgrading Microsoft Windows and Linux-based Oracle databases, in the below listed versions, is required. - Microsoft Windows 7, Server 2003, 2008, 2012 (32 & 64-bit systems) - SSH, FTP, PC X, RDP, Citrix, VPN clients & servers - Database version breakdown: 10.1.0.4 (1), 10.2.0.3 (2), 11.1.0.7 (13), 11.2.0.1 (13) & 11.2.0.3 (1) - 9 of the 11.2.0.1 databases are running on Oracle Linux servers.  The remainder are running on Windows Server 2003 & 2008 machines. Required Skills: -Oracle Linux-Required-3 Years -Oracle Database (10g, 11g)-Required-5 Years -Oracle Database (12c)-Nice to have-1 Years -Oracle Active Data Guard (11g)-Required-2 Years -Oracle Active Data Guard (12c)-Nice to have-1 Years -Oracle Database Gateway for SQL Server (10g, 11g)-Nice to have-2 Years -Oracle Database Gateway for SQL Server (12c)-Nice to have-1 Years -Oracle Enterprise Manager 11g-Nice to have-2 Years -Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control 12c-Nice to have-1 Years -SQL, PL/SQL-Required-5 Years -RMAN-Required-5 Years -Data Pump Export & Import-Required-5Years -Microsoft Windows 7, Server 2003, 2008, 2012 (32 & 64-bit systems)-Required-5 Years -SSH, FTP, PC X, RDP, Citrix, VPN clients & servers-Nice to have-2 Years Interview Process: Either Go To Meeting Web Cam or In Person interview
