Title: Oracle Database with Big Data / BI
This is a Contract to Hire position.
Face to Face
Location: Near Boston, MA (35 miles west of Boston)
Start: Beginning June
Job Description:
Solid background in RDBMs such as Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata.
Strong database and SQL skills.
Experience in tuning SQL queries and making performance recommendations.
Some experience in data modeling.
Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive and Cassandra a plus.
Experience with ETL tools such as Pentaho or Informatica
Experience in UNIX/Linux shell scripting or Python - MUST
To a lesser extent familiarity and ability to code in Java. Knowledge of JSON, Restful APIs, CURL, JSON. – Nice to have
To a lesser extent, also familiarity with Tableau or other BI tools
Consultant have some knowledge Vertica (its an excellent fit )
