Duration: 6+Months
Hire Method: Phone + Face 2 Face
Note:: These candidate need to come from a financial background over the last 5 years
Key Skills:: C#, .NET, SQL Server, Winforms, yield curves, fx rates, Basic Financial Market Data
The role holder will be responsible for delivering software pertaining to trader sign off of P&L and related MI reporting within the Finance (Product Control) function. The role includes the full software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to software development to testing and deployment, all within the defined framework of the existing team's technological infrastructure.
• Contribute to strategic vision for building up the team's development infrastructure
• Deliver enhancements to existing applications and create new modules in a timely manner employing good development practices
• Technical Support for the team's applications
• Work closely with other teams
• Actively engage with other team members for various development projects
• Contribute to team discussions on development issues
• Management of operational risk for the development team is an integral part of the role profile by maintaining good discipline in coding and team working practice.
• Understand, follow and demonstrate compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which one is involved, specifically Internal Controls and any Compliance policy including, inter alia, the Group Compliance policy.
• Maintains HSBC internal control standards, ensuring not to violate any Compliance policies.
Role Context
• The jobholder will have regular contact with project stakeholders;
• The jobholder will have involvement in multiple projects across different technologies, often simultaneously.
Required Skills:
• Critical programming skills in multiple technologies, it must have all of the following critical skills:
o C#/.NET 3.5/4.0/4.5;
o Winforms
o Microsoft SQL Server.
• The candidate is required to be practical and a self-starter who can exercise his/her own judgments in building an efficient user experience, including user interfaces.
• Experience in designing database tables and queries in an efficient manner is essential.
• An understanding of basic financial market data types such as yield curves, fx rates, etc is also required
