Title: Network Engineer
Location: Richmond VA or Northern VA
Duration: 5+ Contract to hire
****Max is $40/hr on C2C, GC – EAD or GC****
Responsibilities:
Work on the network and troubleshooting of complex multi-protocol IP networks, frame relay networks, ATM networks, Ethernet. Extensively work on on L2/L3 switches and VPNs.
Installing, configuring and maintaining Cisco Routers (3800, 3900,4500, 7200).
Installing, configuring and maintaining Cisco switches (2900, 3500, 4000, 6500).
Configure and maintain Cisco Nexus Routers (7000,9000)
Knowledge of the TCP/IP protocol stack for troubleshooting issues.
Knowledge and configuring ability for various services such as DNS, DHCP, and various NAT implementations with Cisco devices.
Deploying and troubleshooting L2/L3, multilayer switching, L2/L3 QOS, IPSec, MPLS, Ethernet, voice & data integration.
Implementation and troubleshooting of network layer routing protocols such as RIPV2, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, and STP, RSTP.
Study and analyze new technology and system development methods (Ex:AWS)
Use the strong problem solving and communication skills to effectively communicate with the customer and help solve issues.
Service Experience
CCNA required
Degree in any Information Technology field preferred
8 or more years' experience in Networking required
Banking experience preferred
COF Experience Preferred but not required
Being a highly motivated, committed and a natural team player.
Works substantially with little supervision or oversight to deliver key milestones
Lean/Agile development experience (1+ yrs)
Problem Solving
Good negotiation, facilitation, and consensus building skills; experience with public speaking
Provides clear concise communication with project team and mid-level management
