Responsible for organizing complex activities for the development, implementation, and maintenance of engineering projects. Performs analysis and studies to determine requirements, immediate and long-range plans and designs. Requires a wide range of experience, using professional concepts and company objectives to resolve issues in creative and effective ways. Acts as technical consultant within and outside assigned department in area of expertise; regarded as subject matter expert. Utilizes high level of communication and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain positive and productive working relationships. Operates with considerable latitude for unreviewed action or decision. May perform engineering design evaluations including cost-effective utilization of materials. May design, develop, test and implement all components, equipment, and software within the functional area of the organization. May perform administrative work relating to projects and assignments. Promotes positive change in the company's business strategy through achievement of customer specific objectives and technological innovation of practical and profitable nature.
In depth knowledge of accepted engineering practices. Computer software knowledge to include Microsoft Office, Custom Planning Tools and Databases. Excellent analytical skills; the ability to prioritize projects; excellent oral and written communication skills; and excellent interpersonal skills. Has well-developed leadership qualities. Excellent project management skills. Required: Oracle SOA Suite (Oracle BPEL and Web Services), Oracle SQL and PL/SQL (9i, 10g, 11g), Oracle JDeveloper. Optional but preferred: Oracle SOA Suite (Business Rules, Oracle Service Bus), Web Service test automation (SOAP UI preferred), continuous integration systems (TeamCity preferred), SCRUM.
College degree and 5-7 years experience or 9 + years equivalent related Engineering/Technical experience or a combination of education and related Engineering/Technical experience required.
