Role: SQL DBA

Location: Sacramento CA(Locals)

Duration 2 Years

 

 

Mandatory Qualifications:

1.            At least seven (10) years verifiable database administrator (DBA) experience;

2.            At least five (5) years verifiable Microsoft SQL Server database (DB) development experience;

3.            At least (3) years verifiable experience as a senior DBA analyzing data requirements, defining DB architecture, documenting technical design, testing databases, and proposing solutions that meet an organization's enterprise frameworks, standards, and best practices;

4. At least five (5) years verifiable experience with relational and dimensional database modeling, including both logical and physical modeling;

5. At least (3) years verifiable experience designing and performing capacity planning for large-scale multi-node DB server clusters that are designed to have highly available, load balanced, and fault tolerant architecture;

6. At least (3) years' experience developing MS SQL Server (i.e., version 2005, 2008-R1, and/or version 2008-R2) databases, manipulating DB data using MS SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), and developing MS SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS);

7. Verifiable DB development experience of tables, complex queries using PL/SQL, T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, user defined functions, and views;

8. Verifiable experience with stored procedure creation, debugging, optimization, and Verifiable experience designing and developing databases and data models that are used for resource scheduling and calendaring applications; and

9. Excellent oral communication skill and technical writing skills, and extensive experience and knowledge in every aspect and all phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

 

Desirable Qualifications:

 

1.            Possession of Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS), Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) Database Administrator/Developer SQL Server 2005/2008, Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD), or related IT career certification(s) acknowledging area of specialization;

2.            Experience deploying enterprise technology solutions within a health care and/or correctional environment;

3.            Knowledge of CCHCS systems;

4.            Experience with an IT division of a State of California Agency and an in-depth knowledge of State of California's IT strategies, standards, and policies;

5.            Strong understanding of data warehouse concepts with demonstrated experience building dimensions and fact tables models;

6.            Data modeling and managing expertise in an enterprise data warehousing environment;

7.            Strong analytical skills to assess current database and database server infrastructure, and identify improvement opportunities;

8.            Knowledge of both Oracle/Java and MS.Net technologies; and

9.            Ability to work both in a team environment and independently.
