Need UI Developer

Location – SFO, CA

 

Responsibilities

• Work with Agile development team to Develop interactive, dynamic, standards based web applications in a team environment.
• Work with Product Management to ensure that technical design and functionality satisfy business needs
• Work with UX and Creative to ensure implementation matches comps and schematics
• Integrate code end-to-end with Java and Front-End developers, collaborating both within and across functional teams
• Assist with system size, performance, security and peer UI code evaluations
• Ensure code quality and adherence to industry and WSI specific standards
• Collaborate with Front-End team to improve quality, modularity and performance of code base.

Requirements

• We require 5+ years relevant development experience and at least 2 years working with Javascript.
• 3+ years of JavaScript development, including use of the DOM, AJAX, writing libraries and APIs.
• Experience and knowledge with JavaScript security and performance.
• Ability to implement complex JavaScript functionality without the help of a framework like jQuery.
• Strong experience with a JavaScript framework – specific Dojo experience is great, but not required.
• Expertise with HTML & CSS and current best practices.
• Experience with MVC frameworks (spring framework a bonus).
• Experience with a central code repository and source control clients.  We use SVN, but GIT is also good.
• Solid Understanding of browser developer tools.

·                     Solid understanding of cross browser/cross platform limitations and solutions.

·                     Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

• Good verbal and written communications skills.

Nice to have

• Experience working with with both on and off-shore development teams.

Some exposure to public facing, eCommerce website development.
