EMC Certified Systems Engineer – Mid Level
Ø Assists in the analysis, design and development of fully integrated EMC. Ø Acts as a hands on technical expert and consultant to develop and propose solutions that meet the technology and business requirements of assigned customers. Ø Technical emphasis is on hardware capabilities, software requirements and systems integration. Ø Understands EMC technology top to bottom. Makes technical presentations to technical staff and top management.
Applicable markets: Communications
Ø Configures and documents EMC software, hardware and solutions to meet customer objectives. Completes required documentation quickly and accurately. Ø EMC Proven Professional Certification REQUIRED. Ø Converged Networking Ø Focused on supporting customer initiatives in the Virtualization, Network Convergence, and Cloud Enablement markets. Ø Knowledge of networking media, protocols and vendor portfolios. Ø A minimum of 5 years of domain experience in the networking industry as an architect, systems engineer, or delivery engineer. Ø Extensive knowledge of Ethernet, TCP/IP, ATM, and Routing Protocols is required Ø Knowledge of Fibre Channel internals and architectures and knowledge of complementary storage products along with FCoE is required. Ø UNIX and Linux knowledge including system administration, network administration, debugging and troubleshooting is required. Ø Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, focused on distributed systems, telecommunications, or networking is required. Ø The right candidate is going to have to wear a number of hats with Storage Administration as the primary, expressed need. Ø Other hats are - VMware Administration support, Windows Administration support, and to a lesser degree networking support. Ø Also should have a pretty solid operational background, an understanding of production procedures, and day-to-day operations. |
