Role :- Environment Support Engineer
Mandatory Technical Skills :-
• Proficient on the following operating systems: Windows, Linux, UNIX (Windows is highest priority of the three, but exposure to all is a must)
o Two or more years supporting JAVA applications running on Windows leveraging IIS – Internet Information Server.
o Two or more years supporting JAVA applications running in Websphere (6.1 or higher) on Linux/UNIX.
• Proficient in understanding of Message Queue (MQ) technologies.
• Strong knowledge and experience on SQL Server 2008 and Oracle databases (should understand DML, DDL, Inner Joins and stored procedures)
• Experience with XML parsers like DOM, SAX, or equivalent
• Experience with Data Power is a plus.
• Experience with Tuxedo is a plus.
• Experience in troubleshooting systems software including facilitating working sessions and coordinating testing efforts.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Bamboo and other tools within the Atlassian suite (Fisheye, JIRA) or Remedy is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast paced support environment.
• Experience and proven track record in forming relationships with internal customers.
Desirable Technical Skills :-
Data power experience
Mandatory Functional Skills :-
Candidate should have the ability to learn quickly and be a strong problem solver as this a hands-on troubleshooting role. Candidate should also be able to coordinate with external groups to ensure the environment changes needed are enacted per the project schedule. Candidate should be experienced in working with J2EE web applications and in source code management and deployment tools.
